PCA constructs a model village in Basti Waryam, Shorkot, District Jhang
The devastation was caused by floods in August 2025 although we have entered 2026 but the conditions of the unfortunate flood affected people remain the same. The devastating floods rendered thousands of people homeless, leaving them without shelter, clothing, and basic life necessities, and exposing them to extreme vulnerability. Families who once had stable homes and access to essential resources lost everything when the powerful floodwaters swept through their communities in a single wave.
According to DAWN;
- Tragically, almost 1,000 lives were lost, leaving countless families shattered.
- An estimated 2.5 million people were displaced, forced to flee their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
- Over 6 million people were directly affected by the floodwaters, facing damaged homes, destroyed crops, and loss of essential infrastructure.
Pakistan Citizens alliance with its aim of serving humanity didn't just stop by providing timely relief to disaster-stricken people but it continues to address their ongoing hardships. That's the very reason that this non-profit charity organization in Lahore took the initiative of constructing houses for these families.
CEO Pakistan Citizens Alliance, Muhammad Adeel Javed, led this campaign with the vision, “Pakistan Citizens Alliance (PCA) is one team, united for one goal—a prosperous and progressive Pakistan.” Guided by this mission, the initiative was carried out with unwavering dedication, leaving no stone unturned in efforts to support fellow Pakistanis in need.
Through the tireless efforts of the CEO and his team, along with the generous support of donors, Pakistan Citizens Alliance has successfully constructed a model village in Basti Waryam, Shorkot, District Jhang. To date, 28 mud houses have been completed and handed over to the community, providing safe and dignified shelter to families who are now ready to move in and rebuild their lives.
These mud houses ensure a decent living space for homeless families with the provision of necessities associated with life. We are thankful to our donors whose donations brought this project to life. We are also grateful to our motivated volunteers for their tireless efforts.
