While volunteering with PCA, I developed valuable leadership skills and gained a deeper understanding of humanity. I learned how impactful grassroots efforts can be in helping those in need, and I now appreciate the importance of working on a smaller scale to make a difference in people’s lives.

VFTP is a valuable program to start with if you are new to Social Work. I joined this program when I was new to social work. I was on the exploratory journey of viewing social work initiatives in Pakistan. Further, I was eager to learn what it takes to be a volunteer. So, I found VFTP on the internet. I quickly enrolled in it as it was an in-person program, free as well, and easy to commute to. So, I am really into learning and educating things. Indeed, this program changed my perspective regarding social work. I was honored to listen to Sir Adeel’s journey, who is the Founder and CEO of PCA, which ignited a spark of hope in me as well that we can make contributions to Pakistan. So, it also helped me learn about fundraising and the philosophy of philanthropy. This program helped me instill the continuity of passion for doing Social Work in our community. So, long story short, I never hesitated from that day to volunteer for the welfare educational initiatives in my community.
