In response to the ongoing humanitarian challenges caused by extreme winter conditions, Pakistan Citizens Alliance (PCA) distributed 100 winter relief packages among flood-affected families in Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday. The relief activity was led by the CEO of Pakistan Citizens Alliance- Muhammad Adeel Javed, accompanied by his team.

Although the devastating floods struck in August 2025, their aftermath continues to affect thousands of families across the country. Many flood survivors remain displaced and lack adequate shelter, making the harsh winter season particularly dangerous for vulnerable communities. The situation has been further aggravated by a sharp decline in temperatures nationwide.

According to weather reports, temperatures have dropped to record lows across several regions, including Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and parts of Punjab, increasing the risk of cold-related illnesses among disaster-affected populations.

Pakistan Citizens Alliance, a non-profit charity organization, launched a Winter Relief Campaign to support flood-affected families during the freezing months. As part of this initiative, winter packages were distributed to help families cope with the severe cold and challenging living conditions.

Each winter relief package contained one quilt, one mattress (gadda), and one pillow with covers, providing essential warmth and comfort. The cost of each package was reported to be PKR 5,500, funded through our generous donor contributions.

PCA officials stated that the organization remains committed to its mission of serving humanity and will continue its rehabilitation and relief efforts for disaster-stricken communities across Pakistan.
